Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially taken the oath for his third term in office. Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister on 9th June 2024 for a record third term, matching India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of three consecutive victories. Honor guards lined the steps of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. PM Modi has taken oath with 72 cabinet ministers and Ministers of State. where thousands gathered to witness PM Modi, dressed in a white kurta and blue waistcoat, take the oath.

PM Modi’s party, BJP, won 240 seats in this year’s poll, 32 short of a majority in the 543-member lower house. Allies helped him cross the 272-majority mark, with the National Democratic Alliance or NDA notching up 293 seats
